Spanish renewables contractor Global Energy Services (GES) has announced it is currently building the 114-MW Alenza wind farm cluster in Zaragoza province.

The company was contracted by funds managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to execute the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for the 49.4-MW Las Majas 6B, the 49.4-MW Las Majas 6C and the 15.2-MW 6D wind parks between the municipalities of Fuentetodos and Azuara.

Comprised of 30 wind turbines, the cluster is expected to be completed before the end of the year. The facility will join the 232-MW Valdejalon wind cluster, part of CIP’s Monegros 487-MW portfolio.

GES is in charge of the full balance of plant (BOP) for the three wind projects, including civil works and additional electrical construction such as transmission lines and substations, the Spanish firm noted.
